In April 2021, the Contact Lens Evidence-base Academic Reports (CLEAR), an initiative led by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA), were published in a special edition of Contact Lens and Anterior Eye. The 11 reports were coordinated by 10 committee chairs and written by 102 authors based in 16 countries. BCLA CLEAR sets the standard to which eye care professionals (ECPs) can refer for the latest information in the contact lens field whilst also highlighting opportunities for future research. Key points of all ten reports are summarised in a freely available reference, found in the Clinical Insight. Each individual report is also summarised below, using, where possible, members of the CORE team and colleagues from around the world, who were authors on the topics in question.
