Summary: 2013 Report of the Workshop on Contact Lens Discomfort

TFOSIn January 2012, the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society spearheaded a workshop to examine contact lens discomfort. Over the next 18 months, various committees made up of international experts (79 in total) met to develop and achieve consensus on various aspects of contact lens discomfort using an evidence-based approach. Their conclusions were published in a special edition of Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, in October 2013.
